my hard drive is being non connective any suggestions, it spins up just doesnt seem to read. HELP

If its brand new, you need to install your serial ATA drivers for your computer to even know you have a hard drive. If that's not it, sometimes hard drives just shit the bed. Perhaps someone else can offer more suggestions. You should give us some more detail.

is this a secondary hd? or primary?

does it see it in the bios?

Did this computer read the HD before?

Is it making any funny clicking noises?

Need more details to help you out...

I've had this happen to me before, but at the end, the HD was GONE...

If you install Serial ATA drivers, shouldn't that only be if you have an ATA HD? I've never had to install drivers for my IDE HD's...

there are drivers for IDE controllers but they're very standard with windows, however it is possible that they've become corrupted.

yup, we need to know if it's new or not...
