View Full Version : My DVD burned movies play slow on my dvd player
I downloaded a full drift video on my computer but when I burn it to a dvd and play it on my DVD player for my tv, it lags by a couple seconds.
When I burn a couple small clips, it plays like normal.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Or is my DVD player fucked?

What program are you using to burn dvds? Sometimes it helps if you burn at slower speeds or you can try another burning program.
Im using Nero 7 Ultra Edition.
I burned it at the slowest setting and it still plays slow.
Even before I burn it, I go into the editor and I can preview how its going to play on my dvd player.
It plays slow on the preview.
Just like how I mentioned before, if I burn a smaller clip, it plays normally. If I burn a bigger file, it plays slow.
:dunno:

Are you sure the file isn't like that? Try play the file in Media player. Does it still lag?
Media player plays the video fine.
Something must be up with my nero.

how big is the video? is it a divx/xvid or a dvd video?\
if its avi its normal for it to take a while to load bigger files.
It's avi.
Its not so much loading, the audio is faster than the picture.
The sound doesn't match the picture. :nut:

All asian movies have that problem from time to time, maybe your DVD player doesnt have the right audio codec

when that used to happen to me was because audio of the video was set into VBR, so had to open it in virtualdub and change audio to CBR which I used to run overnight.
