Sanctity of Brothers - Unearth or my personal favorite, 11th Hour by Lamb of God. The LoG one would be good, a song not many people have heard by a good Christian rock band.

just think of music your dad listen to in his twenties, which would be in the 70s, so

Alice Cooper - Eighteen
Rolling Stones - (any song really)
Supertramp - The Logical Song
Pink Floyd - Money, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4

stuff like that.. maybe look for a best of the 60s/70s CD and try and find songs you might have heard him listen to.

Ask people that type of music he licked back then and tailor the slideshow to fit those different styles. Disco to Beattles to whatever.

Depends on what kind of pictures you have

Just use some good ol' accordion style square dance music and stuff like that, depending on your slide arrangment you could actually have people laughing instead of bored!

What kind of music does he listen to? Or what did he like back in the day?

When my dad was 20 he listened to hard rock... when my father-in-law was 20 he listened to disco.

Some of the songs listed are more like funeral songs that ones used for a birthday party. The songs should be happy, not slow and depressing.

I used this site, you can look at the number 1 hits from all the years just go down to the 70's greatest hits, or 80's greatest hits section.
