A friend of mine just picked up a 1997 Nissan Maxima and hes looking for rims. Now he doesn't have alot of money as he spent it all on the car but he's looking for rims that are big.

What would the biggest size rim he could fit under a totally stock nissan maxima. He doesn't want to mod anything just direct bolt on. It looks like this one. same color and everything.

A tire size would be great too if there are any owners of this car.

Deep Dish Rims would look good.

Thanks in advance.

I had a 98 and a 02 Maxima. Go the tirerack and you can see what tires/rims would work on the car.

Plus, the Maximas suffer from the same disease that the Altimas have, which is called "Extreme Wheel-gapitis".

On my car, I'm torn next between new rims and a drop, but I know they both need to happen. I'd say that on the Maxima, a drop with the factory rims would do it almost as much good as new rims.

PS - forgot to mention that you should post pics of what rims he decides to go with....

Well were surfing the internet right now. It looks like the G35 rims fit and look decent. Were not sure what Extreme Wheel-gapitis is...? Im guessing the gap between the tire and fender?

Do you have to get a wheel spacer to make the rims flush with the car...like some rims are set within the wheel well (which we don't like..

These are nice rims.
