Was just discussing it with a colleague at work the other day and he swears by it. He digs it so much, in fact, that he buys it bulk off ebay according to him.

its not bad...but if you have mad acne issues go with accutaine (sp?)

dont get me wrong though, this shit really does help clear up your face if you have LIGHT acne...its better than that shit you see on tv....clearasil or whatevr its called.

Agreed if you just have mild acne (AKA: The occasional blemish or zit) then proactive works awesome. If its any worse than that go to your doctor and get prescribed for accutane that stuff worked amazing for me when I was younger.

i'm allergic to the stuff.... make sure you test it on one area first before using it all over your face......

I heard from some people who've used it that works great but once you stop using it, the Acne comes back. No personal experience though. If you have crazy Acne get Acutane like others suggested.

Is it possible to get it locally? Like Shoppers Drug Mart or something? I am not Acne prone or anything *touch wood*, but you know the occasional one here and there.

Available at most Calgary malls in booths, but don't buy from there! The "main" package they sell is $100+ dollars. If you order from the Proactiv Canada website it is $59.50 for the 3-piece set.

Sorry this is totally unrelated but is the saying 'knock on wood'? not touch wood, it sounds like a gay amateur porn.

i think proactive works to a certain extent... i know someone who was using it everyday for probably 2 years and then it seemed like she built an immunity to it as her blemishes began to resurface - it made her face soft though.

It works for me, and it makes your face feel soo clean.

it works diff for everyone, for some, probably ones with more severe acne, it wont work. even to the ones that it works with, some people only need to use it once a day and their face turns flawless, even it they miss a day or two...some others need to wash 2-3 times a day and may start to break out again if they miss a day. but it does make you face feel very clean and soft.

No RIGHT AWAY but pretty you'll break out because your face was used to being clean and your pores will just clog up and create acne again.

proactive is the worst thing for your skin... DO NOT USE IT.....

my wife is a skin therapist and she herself uses this product range called ENVIRON and she has great skin - she tried the proactive but after some research she said it was so bad for your skin - it actually bleaches and kills healthy cells aswell as problem cells - not too mention most of our towels and pillow cases...

The environ is a really healthy way to heal and cure acne... she swears by it, if she has a zit one day, she uses the cream and in like 4 hours it is gone!

:werd: Proactiv did nothing but irritate my skin more. I finally found the cure for acne. Instead of washing my face 5 times, or more when I have pimples, I do it only once a day, when I'm in the shower in the morning, and bam! What do you know, no more pimples.

I have been taking proactive for just about a year now ... and I am basically where I was when I started ... it helped for a while but it seems like its not working anymore ... I have been thinking of taking accutane but I read about it and it seems like there are a lot of side effects :dunno:

It's garbage. It has the same miracle ingredient as clearasil + 100 others ; benzoyl peroxide. It's just marketed better, and they charge a whole lot more. Don't be a sucker.

Yeah I work at shoppers and it's like $185 for the device which lasts for 60 times (i think).

Dunno how good it ACTUALLY works tho.
