The whole thing has been scanned and stuck out on the internet. It's really hard to read in this format, so I'll try to find it when it's on another, easier to read website.

Until then, 530hp, 505lb-ft, 3175lbs:drool:

on the very first pic of the brochure it looks like a VW beetle.

Anyways how much are these things gonna be?

I would bet a little over the MSRP of the 996 GT2, which was in the 180kUS range. I would bet 235kCAD.

I don't know how the hell people ever decide between something like this and a ferrari, lamborghini, aston martin, etc. etc. especially since you'll likely never get a chance to test drive them given the demand. They are all absolutely outstanding. I suppose that would be one predicament I wouldn't mind being in :D

I'd probably take one of these over an F430...

Yes, really.:D

Can someone explain to me why the names of the GT2 and GT3 aren't reversed?

The GT1 is their race car, so I guess the closer you get to "1" the better the car is haha. If that's not it I don't know either.

Why would they be? The lower the number, the more sophisticated and faster the car should be.

Porsche GT1 > Porsche GT2 > Porsche GT3 . Pretty much mimics how the production car racing classes are setup.

Remember the GT1 some years back? I loved that car.

I wish I was in the market for this class of car. Always had an inclination towards Porsche. Aside from the RUF, could be great to own the top of the line 911 :)

I hope, for the sake of society, that this was just a sick joke.

Ever watch Lemans style racing? The fastest cars are the GT1's, then GT2's and then GT3's....

:)

Oh man the GT1! I have only ever seen one and I am crazy about Porsches. The only thing is that it cost 1Mil, and just over 10 years later the same performance numbers come out of the 997 Turbo for a measly 190,000ish (tiptronic S). I would want a GT1 over a 997 Turbo though...I am not sure about a GT2, I think that it is my #1 dream car.

there is only one spoiler, I think you are looking at the mount for the large spoiler at the rear.

Freaking amazing. If I had the money, I'd buy one. Better than an F430, in my opinion.

235k CDN? Ouch man... I'll still take Z06 with some bolt ons and put the remaining 135k toward a house.

Flame suit ON! hahaha :burnout:

side note: What does this thing pull on the skid pad? The Z will do 1.04G.

The GT3 according to Motor Week (I couldn't find the Porsche figure on Porsche website) will do:

Lateral acceleration (200-ft skidpad): 0.98g

But then you look at this article by Motor Trend (Americas Best Handling Car): http://www.motortrend.com/features/112_0706_americas_best_handling_car

Peak Lateral Acceleration: GT3 - 1.69g Z06 - 1.57g

The GT2 would pull similar to the GT3, more I would hope. Its fairly similar, it should be a real dog fight. F430 Challenge Stradale (it wont be called the CS) vs Corvette Z06 vs 997 GT2 vs Gallardo Superleggera

What a fun time it would be to have to decide between all these cars.

Jesus CHRIST. I actually said that out loud when I heard the GT2's official Nurburgring time: 7:32. Whoa.
