I typed a 5 page report, on the fly, not from any rough copy, into MS Word. I was constantly saving it the whole time, but.......

i had a few Word documents open, and when I was finished and it asked me if I wanted to save my work, I hit "no" by accident.

Now when i open the document, it is the version from like 6 hours ago, with only one page of text.

Is there any way to find inside the computer one of the auto-saved versions from when I was working on it?

I can't seem to find where the "auto-save" function saves things to.

PLEASE HELP!

The file will probably be a "hidden" folder, so if you are searching/scanning for it make sure you select check hidden files and folders.

I don't know where exactly they are stored, but usually by default if I save a file once in one folder (say in "my files"), if I save again or it auto-saves it shows as a hidden icon in the same folder.

Hope that helps a bit? G/L man.

its under the temp folder in the internet temp files folder of the user you were logged in as.

something like that.

google office or word (your version) default autosave location or temp save location
