Does size 32 mean the closest hole fits size 32? Is this the kind where I can take off the buckle and cut 2 inches off if it's too long?

I think they work similar to jeans and stuff. As in if you are waist 32 then get 32. So 32 wouldn't fit someone who is a 34. Someone please correct me if I am wrong as I am not 100% sure.

I'm pretty sure size 32 means on the biggest whole it's a 32 size. Therefore it would fit approx. 28-32" waist sizes.
