He means Carfax is an American search. Carproof is the Canadian counterpart and will catch things Carfax has missed.

You can search to see the difference.

For those who've posted your VIN's on here, in case you or anyone who will be searching for it on their CarFax account doesn't know it, CarFax has an auto internet search for the keywords "CarFax" and any VIN numbers such that when that VIN is input into a current CarFax account, that account gets automatically closed due to "Non-Private Usage." So for all those who've posted with their VINs, you're just wasting your time.
