just be nice and polite.

If they refuse keep bugging them and begging them and pestering them.

Never got a highschool grade bumped but I got a fail turned into a D in first year U of C.

The worst your teacher can say is "no" if you ask and then you're no better and no worse off than before.

In Grade 11, I got 3 out of 4 teachers to give me 5%. I almost got one to give me 10%. My excuse, get back in the honour roll... haha I was already in!

Last year my english teacher said that I only had a 48% at the end of the semmester, when a week earlier with all projects but my portfolio which was worth 20% of the mark, I had a 46%... so i said F*ck you asshole! and hung up the phone.

I hung up just before he was about to tell me he bumped it up to a %50... luckily he still did.

If your in High School (I don't know about University) but at the end of the year you are allowed to argue your grade with the Principle.

Good luck.

If I recall, and I'm not 100% positive but when I was in HS, if you ended with a 48 or 49 they had to bump you to a 50% because of possible discrepencies in marks.

Again, not sure about this rule, as I was in AP and they always owned us hardcore on marking.

I've never needed to worry about a teacher bumping my grades up but my bro sure has...teachers are pretty fair as long as you show them the want to improve rather then slack all year and then "ask for a break"

is it for high school?

you have to pay to rewrite the final exam (if its the diploma one.) if not then I guess the best you can do is beg and hope they will allow it. which I doubt.

I go to Mount Royal and my buddy slept in for his Microeconomics final last year and they let him write it early this year. We just had a really nice teacher and he had to talk to the head of the economics program. Being able to re-write an exam just has to do with how nice and understanding your prof is.
