View Full Version : Where to get a 2JZ motor in Calgary?

JDM Tuners said they won't have any for a month, JDM Source won't return my emails, and any personal sales I've been looking at seem to have broken off contact. Is there any other place I can get a reasonable 2JZ motor either locally, or somewhere in Canada with reasonable shipping?

I just need a motor, I don't need a tranny, ECU or wiring harness (although I wouldn't mind a wiring harness)

Well, right now I have a few options available to me, but I'm trying to keep my options open. I'm looking at a 1JZ block in Texas for $200, aa well as a 2JZ motor needing a rebuild here in Calgary for $500. I have a feeling neither will pan out, so I'm trying to source another motor.

I'll give JDM Source a call tomorrow morning, but I have a feeling that they don't have any 2JZ motors in stock.

Sunrise auto has one 2JZ VVTI with some damage, but they haven't told me what the damage is yet.

JDM Source has none.

RCTS has like 6 motors, but he wants atleast 6 grand for them.

Autodream says they have 2 coming in, so if this 1JZ block deal falls through, I'll probably go there.

Edit: I've deicded to buy the 2JZ from Autodream anyways. If I get the block too, then I have a spare 1JZ to screw with too.

Provided the new motor is all within spec, and I don't need to order parts for it, like bearings and such, I can have the car running a day after the new motor comes.
