Hi,

I was looking at used cars today and spotted a 1992 cadillac el dorado. 1992. It has about 120,000 miles on it. new tires. New battery. Body is in good shape. I took it for a test drive and it drove great, lot of power. 4.9 V8

Now my question is this model a car that can handle more than 120,000 miles?

Asking price is about $3,200. (knocked down some as I'm a freind and climate control is a bit fishy) but that doesnt matter.

I really know nothing about cars, and you have to take what a sale person says with a grain of salt, so I would like to you ask the opinions of the real experts.

Thanks

120,000 miles isn't a whole lot of mileage for those vehicles. They are well built GM's and many average GM vehicles will go a lot more than 120k miles (approximately 190,000km's).

We had a caddilac with a 4.0 V8. It went for 220,000 miles no problem... that is until my brother crashed it.

Hahahaha......caddys are sweet dude. I know a little about caddys, but mostly older models, the 92 El Dorado, should be about 20 ft long? Doesnt fit into conventional parking spaces? Sweet ride dude and 3200 for a 92 is a pretty killer deal....

Isn't an El Dorado a coupe?

$3200, you can't go wrong... V8s run a long time.

If you are in the us, live in the us, are a us citizen, then what does it matter if it is 3200 cdn or us? It is all relative.

Sorry...

If you are a Canadian and pay 3200 CDN the car is a good deal.

If you are an American and pay 3200 USD the car is a good deal.

That was what I was trying to say.

sorry for the mix up

If you are an american and can pay 3200 CDN EVEN BETTER deal!

The only thing wrong with Caddys is that the parts cost a small fourtune when they break down. Trust me. I work at a Dealer that sells TONS of caddys and caddy parts and they arn'et cheap and most of them ar not interchangeable

Just my $.02

Also just for the record. Im sure he means 120,000 MILES not Kilometres.

So maybe the cars had it ?

Not saying it has but would like some feedback in regards to this.

(sweet car btw)
