Well basically this is how it goes.

My neon has been having problems starting etc, I want to purchase a car, not having enough money I ask my dad to help me with credit so I can pay him money monthly until I pay it off.

Now the situation, He does not want to purchase a car privately is his rule. I just told him I want a car around 5 grand, bad thing is most cars that go for 5 grand at dealers are junk. So I managed to talk to him into spending 6 grand tops.

Okay so after reading the situation I need some help. I've been online for 2 hours now trying to find something that fits me. I'm gonna list a few things down there and if someone makes me happy finds something around the price range and what I want, ill put in a 100 dollar finders prize, I am also willing to deliver 100 dollars to the person that helps.

I would like a Dodge or Chrysler neon with low mileage, preferably an Automatic. Though it does not have to be a neon it can be anything as long as;
a) it looks sporty
b) can keep up with my neon
c) has air conditioning
d)does not shake when driven
e)low mileage

If anyone can help me, e-mail me at [email protected] or just simply give me a PM, I will contact you shortly after, telling you whether I am happy or not. Thank you for taking your time reading this.

Anel

PS: I will add things as I think of them, but for now we can work with this.

Why does he not want to go private?

I picked up a great car privately for $400

If you're not willing to buy privately be prepared to bust out the lube and let the stealership bend you over on cost.

I know someone selling an 01 neon with 120k on it and in exc. shape for 3500. It's a private sale if you decide to go that route.

At that price point privately is the only way to go. Its not like a dealer is providing any guarantee on a $6k car ...

What do you consider low mileage?
I know of a couple of people trying to sell their Neons for those marks. Also, have you looked into Cavaliers? Decent cars for what you pay!

No Cavaliers.

Low Mileage about 130-150k.

First off i would look into an import, you will have much more luck with them as reliability, parts and such goes. PLus they are nicer to drive, and would have no problem being as quick as your neon. I believe if you did go import u woulden look back IMO.

Yeah a little weird why you dad would want dealer only? I have bought cars from both and a dealer you will be paying more for the same car that you could find privatly, not to mention you gotta pay gst on that car so add 6% to your price tag.

Good luck with your search.

Haha your dad is gonna get scammed all through life if he continues with that mentality, If the dealer is selling a car for 6 they probably paid 2 for it.
