:P gota get around in the winter some how... although the only vehicals not driven in the winter are the vette and gnx... but the silver sunfire has the engine from the old blue sunfire which had no problem keeping up to our neighbours 2003 SVT cobra :P so its still got balls to it for being a year round driver

:P oh it is, it actually scares me to drive not joking... he was with my neighbour on the high way a month or so ago and a newer gsxr 1000 was bugging him and they went from about 120-230ish and i guess my old man kept pulling further and further on him... although in that car even at 200kms you still cant put it to the floor or you will light the tires up and go side ways till the tracktion control kicks in.. then it just makes you go straight but your still smoken the tires... :P and a 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds needing only 1st gear :P is a good example of its power :P

yep.. it was all put on by Daven Port pretty well right off the dealer lot... heads, cam, intake, full exhaust including headers, tuned... but he is thinking about sending it down to Lingenfelter next summer to have a build 427 put into it... for about 500-550whp ahah he is nuts...

:P its a sleeper... ahah well as much as a C6 Z06 can be... just the lingenfelter badges give it away, but alot of people think its just exhaust, heads or cam from them... although i know my dad, he is always ripping around in it so im sure the sounds of the turbos spooling and the blow off valves would give it away too

:P thanks man.. and i understand where you would be coming from if you saw me on the street and said "why a sunfire" :P there is only 1 in town (that i know of any way) making more power then i am.. but its a cavalier... with nitrous.. But yea i couldnt drive Jbody with a body kit with out having some power to back it up ahah even i hate them, but i have grown to like this one..

:P thanks... Yea its big money... but its a fully build engine, every thing is built to hold over 1000hp (which is what my old man plans to go to soon lol)... It drives and is as reliable as a car driven right off the show room floor, very smooth powerband easy to drive ect.. and a 3yr warenty to go with it..
Even with the Exedy clutch, it is WAY easier to drive then my sunfire with a stage 3+ clutch and 7lbs fly wheel ect...

Got any under hood shots of the Vette, Buick, and Pontiac? I'd love to see the dynographs for each, expecially the vette.

When is he taking any of them to race city????? I'll do the driving if he doesn't want to.

im not sure where the dyno sheets are... i will look and see if i can dig them up.. for the GNX the original engine was making 420rwhp and 502lbs tq i believe, but the new one that is being built right now, he told me last night he is shooting for 700rwhp..
The last sunfire (blue one in my sig) which is the same parts/engine as my new one.. was dynoed at 240whp with 7psi.. same place/day as the GNX was done but the dynos sheets are togeather so like i said i will have to dig them up
He would takethe Vette to race city but... Lingenfelter voids the 3yr warenty if he is caught on the track with it and being the only C6 Z06 they have put the 800hp TT kit on in North American, it wouldnt be hard to be caught with some one posting a video of it.. plus the guy who did the tuning on it at Lingenfelter has found all my posts about this car so far.. and my dad wants to learn how to drive it... i had driven the gnx and other big horse power cars before, but when i drove the Corvette, i honistly do not know how to explain how fast and powerfull it is... not joking at all, you can light the tires up and go side ways going 200+kms very, very easy so he doesnt want to put it into the wall at the track..

Which Pontiac.. the Trans AM .. or sunfire... Trans Am is litterly bone stock looking.. as it only has a SLP intake then all the rest is internal work

Dyno sheet from Lingenfelter (under the hood pictures are posted a few posts up...

That baseline comparison with the vette is pretty cool. Do you have any pic of it's engine?
What about specs on the trans am? AFR heads, etc?

these were taken by the guys at lingenfelter while it was being put togeather... once the red engine covers go on it really looks bone stock under the hood... the covers over the two intercoolers kind of looks like just an intake although there are the two re-curculating style blow off valves on top... but you cant see the turbos or any thing... and for dual 3.5" turbo back exhausts its pretty quite... alot quieter then both the trans am and gnx...

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/6543/turbo2gs4.jpg

Specs on the Trans am.. im not 100% sure on which parts... im asuming all SLP but couldnt say for sure

- SLP intake
- long tube headers
- header back 3" exhaust
- heads (full on valves, springs ect..)
- cams

it was all done with about 20-30kms on the car, car went from the dealership to Daven Port in the same day and it was weird, because from what i know these cars were 315hp at the crank i believe.. and daven port dynoed it stock at 310whp? and now with it all done i think it was like 399whp and 415 lbs.tq..

thank you

the Sunfire has been there a few times... last year in its last form of blue (that car was totaled) and this year 1 time in its silver form, which the Corvette was there along with me but my dad just came in it to watch not race.. tuning date is Sept 20th for the sunfire so hopfully i can get it to the track before it closes

GNX has probably only been out 1 maybe 2 times in the last 6 years... always problems with it though.. so next year with the new engine he will probably have it out

and the Trans am only ever been racing 1 time.. he races his friends 03 SVT stang... ran a 13.7 for his best but that was on the OEM tires on their 4th summer .... pretty bald ahah but still not bad

why would i tell you that?? what makes a 250whp sunfire bad?? actually what makes a sunfire in general bad? besides the few who put big loud mufflers on and think they are the best? you get that with any car...

There are an unfortunate amount of teenage girls that drive them like they're street racers while they talk on their cell phones, thats the problem.

I've seen your sunfire driving around a few times, its by far the most badass sunfire I've seen.

same goes for any car... i have had girls in civics with body kits and rims try and race me too.. you will get that with any car.. i just dont get why Jbodys get the worst name.. only thing i can think of is VERY few get done up properly..as i said above i believe there is only 1 other jbody in calgary quicker then mine and i dont have a clue where it is now... but he is pushing high 300hp numbers if i am correct..

Dumb question, but if the Vette can already light them up going 200 km/h, what would 1000hp gain you besides higher top speed?

Or would you just buy some insane tires and tweak the suspension to help put the power down?
