hey guys,

im lookin into getting a 2000 BMW 323Ci... i just have a question for all the BMW experts on this forum. What were the different packages available for this car and what are the differences between them? Also, are there any 323ci's with actual leather, or all they all just leatherette- and if so, does anyone have any comments on leatherette? Thanks a lot for your help

Go on to the BMW website and customize a 325. You can purchase the Sport and or Premium package. I don't think the packages change very much over the last few years. That will give you a general idea. And prices of cars equipped with the above packages will be generally more expensive than a base model. These are great looking cars with decent power to back it up. Maintenance shouldn't be a major issue becaues the first 3 years is paid for by BMW. But becareful, since the warranty period is almost ending, repair bills will be a bitch if required.

With all that said, I don't think I've seen one for under $30K yet. Prices really start dropping once the warranty ends.

I know someone that's selling a Black 2000 323CI with about 55,000Kms. He is asking $36,000 but I'm sure you can bargain with him though.....

His only has Leatherette though..... not as nice as REAL leather...
but much nicer than Cloth in my opinion....

and it's lowered with H&R Cup kit.

PM me if you are interested in checking it out..

You could get Montanna Leather on the 323's im pretty sure, not just Leatherette.
There's one at Calgary BMW (South one) for 36,900 w/ Premium 2 Package on it. Is that the one your talking about?

My suggestion is: Just wander into the dealership, find a dealer, and ask to see the car (if its at a dealer, if its privatesale, ask to see the car in person) and start asking the questions your asking us, to the dealer/owner.

BTW: The Leatherette isint that bad, i have a friend w/ a White 325Ci that has the black leatherette, and its still ok.

My preference:
1. Leather
2. Cloth
3. Leatherette

I had leatherette in my 330Ci, it was great, because I used that car for everything. It's VERY easy to keep clean, and most people can't tell it's leather.

I recommend that you purchase from the dealer and try to get the certified series extended warranty. It is good up to 120000kms, cause you never know! Finance rates are pretty good too, I got 4.9% for my 2000 323I last year.

And get Topaz Blue Metallic, it is the nicest color:love: Right Bol?
