hey

I want to purchase a new exhuast system for my jimmy...probly flowmaster or borla...i was wondering what would be better for a dual ...should i get dual mufflers, or just split the pipe from one muffler to 2 tips?...what would sound better and give more power?..if u have any suggestions on a better brand let me know...thanks

I'm talking about a true dual exhaust setup from the cat.

5.9 R/T

Dual mufflers would be quieter and may give you 'slightly' better performance but you probably won't be able to tell by the ass dyno between a single or dual muffler setup. Also check into Spintech mufflers. They are a truck/suv based brand and there is a ton of R/T'ers that swear by them. They're cheaper then borla and flowmaster and, at least on the R/T, sound better too.
