remember when you buys with the edge card you don't pay tax so you are saving alot more than you think.

Example a new nintendo ds is 149.99, using the edge card that is the total, not 158.99.


Edge card is worth $123 im selling for $100.

You can call them and ask if you buy something on your edge card
if you pay gst on that item. I've done this a million times, they cannot legally charge you gst on a purchase with store credit.

Secondly, it's not a gift card its an edge card, when you trade in games you get store credit, i have $123 dollars of store credit on this card, you do not pay taxes when you use your edge card. And it is $100 firm

no! it says edge card on it but it is a gift card. i have one too that i trade in oblivion for... an edge card is a card the give you when you become an edge member for 5 dollars... theres a difference and i just called eb games and tax is still charged... but yah good luck with your sale

ok i called a different store just for you they said when you trade in the games at the store and you buy something right away they dont charge tax but as soon as the money hits a gift card they can charge you tax thats;

Nope she is right. I have experienced this pleasant surprise (no GST) many times at the cash register and never say anything. Maybe it is YMMV but it definitely happens.
