i was looking into the LX7, but then I dont know if I should go with wired or wireless. Since it is a laptop, I won't be far away from the laptop, but then it is nice to not have another cable dangling around.

go wireless!
unless your a gamer which i hope your not using your laptop for int the first place then wireless should suit all your needs just fine and like you said eliminate the extra annoying cord!!

I just use a Microsoft Optical mouse (wired). I can't stand to use the touchpad either.

I'd definitely go for wireless if its for a laptop. Wires for laptops just get in the way. Wires are better for gaming... but then again laptops aren't ideal for gaming anyways.

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 is what I use and it works great:thumbsup:

yeah I use wired too, but I always use the laptop on a desk...

I picked up this cheap little creative, but its lasted great.. and its only half the size of a regular wireless mouse.. so its great to throw in the laptop bag and the wire spools up...

I absolutely love this mouse and will continue to buy another whenever this one dies. The ergonomics and functionality of it are awesome for what I use it for.

I like the LX7 and the VX Revolution. Only thing about wireless that's holding me back is the battery life. Always have to change the batteries every few months.

so how long is the average battery life of a wireless mouse that uses AA? specially the vx revolution as i'm planning to buy it tomorrow.

I usually get about 2 months out of a battery charge. Energizer rechargables FTW.

I use mine quick a bit and I find about 1.5 - 2 months and I gotta switch it the battery. But I just use panasonic 16 pack cheapy batteries which works for me! Honestly the ergonomics of this mouse make battery life negligible to me at this point imo.

Wireless, except it sucks when you forget to charge it.
