For Northern Hemisphere observers, August is usually regarded as "meteor month" with one of the best displays of the year reaching its peak near mid month. That display is, of course, the annual Perseid Meteor Showers. From about one to three hours after midnight, local time

For those who are interested, here's a quick sky map I've put together so you know where to look. The peak of the showers occur early tomorrow morning (Aug 13 03:00-04:00), but should still be occurring the rest of the week.

Looks like it'll be pretty cloudless tonight, but transparency won't be all that great. Hopefully we'll still be able to see something.
