plz help me about sidekick3 cell

my bro moved from the states and brought his side kick 3 but its locked is there any pplace in calgary that can unlock it we took it to rogers and they said they cant do that phone any help is appreciated thanks

There are very few places that will unlock this phone. Once it is unlocked, you will have to have it turned on 100% of the time. Since the Hiptop/SideKick units have a specialized back-end server, you're a little screwed if you turn it off as you will lose all of your texts and all of your phonebook COMPLETELY.

You might want to just sell it and see about buying a HipTop2 within Canada that is actually with Fido.
