To do that kind of damage to a car, you would have to be going at a very great rate of speed, and have what would be classified as a "Major Agricultural Excursion" if you were road racing, or a "Major Off' if he was rallying. That isn't the kind of damage you get leaving the road (any road) at the speed limit.
