That is really amazing.

BTW, what is a Corvette Z07?

Holy shit....that's pretty impresive considering the company of cars that SRT4 was in.

Very impressed with that. If it can out do a Diablo and a S4 I'de love to see what it can do to the WRX and Evo

When does the SRT finally make its way here? The yanks have taken delivery months ago. I want to test drive one for sure but I wish they would have developed a different platform to base a car like this from. There's rumors that the concept Razor may become reality, limited convenience options, 2 seater hardtop, 2600lbs, reaonably priced, rear drive with the 2.4L turbo motor. Basically a minimalist car focused on performance instead of comfort. Now we're talking! :D

Just think what Stage 2 and 3 will do :D (already developed).

Placing 8th and podium finishes in SCCA Pro rally ... A shame the "neon"can't handle. :dunno:

Note - Funny how the WRX went into the wall at the One Lap of America. What does that mean...

Anyways, I saw 4 SRT-4 in L.A and San Fran. They actually look pretty decent in person. Good thing they were going the opposite direction. :D

One lap was hit by bad rain throughout. Traction wasn't the best at any of the times.

Saw an SRT in Scottsdale, AZ. Stood out like a sore thumb among BMWs, Jags, Ferarris etc on the road.

you guys just cant deal with the fact that a NEON outperformed all the "hot" cars you guys love so much

haha, neons are the basis for such controversy...all of a sudden the neon guys have a car fully out in the open to support neon power (rather than the well-hidden acr)...and all the other guys still believe all neons are crap even if they arent even called neons anymore...its a good car, neons can handle, and now they fast...reliable? i dunno my family's experience with dodge is iffy but we've never owned a neon, not to mention dodge has worked with turbos quite extensively...so we will see

Even though I probably wouldn't buy one, I can appreciate the fact that it will be quick. We'll see what kind of magic ppl will work on these beasts on the street and strip. Doesn't it already come with a Mitsu TD05H-16g turbo from the factory? If so, that's a popular DSM upgrade...

They will never be able to generate the kind of cornering numbers something that was purpose built to go fast can, not without serious modification at any rate. Never mind the problems large amounts of power bring This holds true for a lot of cars on the road, its not specific to the neon. You can't make a pig into a thoroughbred, but you can make a damn fast pig.

A lot of different hardware has won and lost different events over the years. A guy two years ago smashed the shit out of a Renntech mercedes at road atlanta, does that make them crap too?

A not so good driver in a good car still results in crap lap times. A good driver in a not so good car results in decent lap times. The neon still lost by a considerable margin to the fastest guys out there. The result is more a testament to the drivers skill than anything.

They're still called Neons in the States, are they not? But yeah, earlier Neons (even up through 1998-99 model years), they still had head gasket problems. They're not the BEST cars around, but they're not THAT bad either as some people make them out to be. And the SRT-4, well, they just kick some ass :bigpimp:

Your point is what?

no point..just making sure you acknowledge that the impreza is a economy car at its roots too.
