Thats way to low... either it was pilot mistake, or it was an emergency. Alot of the times if there is something wrong they will try and get them to land as close to the end of the runway as possible so that they have room to roll out.

nope it is in St. Martin / St. Maarten
There is a beach right on the other side of the runway. I actually got to witness it first hand - simply amazing.
It is in many postcards.

I just googled it.

That looks simular to the airport runways in the Cook Islands.

Definately would leave a mark in the shorts.

That'd be awesome to experience some day.
Some other cool airplane landing videos are the ones of Hong Kong's old airport:

^yup. There are lots of videos out there where the airplanes fly in and land sideways because of the winds.

you dont know anything about aviation do you? thats in the maldives and it happens all the time. that is the main airstrip, and then you board a 12-19 passenger aircraft, most likely a twin otter and you "hop" islands.

It's a passenger plane not a super sonic warplane :P That and it is landing so there is not that much thrust needed...

No you're right, I don't know much about aviation. But my dad, whom has been flying on hercs, and a wide variety of aircraft for many years does, whom I seeked out the answer on if it was a normal landing or not. Yes it is normal there to see low flying aircraft, and if you look at alot of the pictures, they are higher than the 747 in that video. Look how close his lander gear comes from the beach and the cars.

That response is coming from two very expierenced men whom been around aviation for years. They do note that they don't fly much higher than that video, but the pilot is still a tad bit low.
