Has anyone seen those spinning wheels that keep spinning after you stop?!?!
BLAH:thumbsdow IMO they look retarded!!!:barf: Just voicing my thoughts. I saw it on a white Jag last week, they were huge rimss like 19's or bigger and all chrome too but they just look silly:( We got too many "Gangsta" wannabees around here hey?:dunno:

Oh well!!

they look cool, but not something i'd buy though.

saw a set of 22's on an escalade in vegas. got pics of it, but too bad i didn't have a camcorder. looks neat! :D

They look cool, but you're right, it's gangster. All the Escalades and oversized trucks here in NYC have those things. Not my thing. Too wanksta for me.

06-27-2003, 11:56 AM
I dunno, personally I kinda like them, But I like just plain big and shinny rims better on something like an escalade. But my favorite has got to be the fact, that they now have spinner hubcaps. LOL
I want some

that "gangsta" is actually from washington and those wheels cost more than your car

if speed and performance wasn't your first concern, I'd totally get a set and slam it on a CL600 haha

I agree with too many gangsta wannabees, not only for this situation, but in general. Half these people live in nice homes, nice family, let they have the urge to act all "ghetto" and think their from the "hood". These people cause alot of problems.

The rims are kind of unique. I would never buy em, yet they would be cool to see. sorry about the usless post above, i'm just sick and tired of all these people who are rich little bastards, who think their all gangsta

Ya but I saw them on a White Jag??!!! Not an SUV or truck.....a fuggin 2 door Jag!!! Made the car stand sooo high off the road, and I could care less if they cost more than my car!!! That's another thing here too. Lots of people here in Calgary have too much money, more than what they know what to do with. Sorry if I don't wanna drop 2gs /rim on my Honda........Id rather invest in a Porche or sumthing.........IMO.........

ryder_23
06-27-2003, 05:45 PM
People have money no matter where u go, its everywhere.

If you droppd 2g/rim on a honda, you would join the population of people who have to much money then they know what to do with...and u'd prolly get ur ass kicked, or something for putting them on a honda

Saw these in action for the first time today on a white SUV, I thought they looked pretty cool. It doesn't give me the impression of "gangsta" or "wanksta" at all...there nice looking rims!

There's a raceway built into the rims with bearings that allow them to spin. Wonder how maintenance intensive they are, if they need to be cleaned and greased frequently to keep them from rusting/seizing from dirt.

Everyone in Harlem has these things on their oversized trucks. They look great on those things. Bow Wow's new video, which one are you talking about, the one with Baby aka the Birdman? But it's the new trend... Funkmaster Flex was one of the first to put them on the Team Baurtwell Escalade here in New York.

I say they are "Gangsta" wannabes becuz for some reason all the drivers I see with those bling bling wheels are always driving with one hand, leaned as far back as their reach will allow and lean as far to the center of the car/suv as they can wearing a hat that is crooked.

Sure props to them for having the dough to make their rides look good.

Besides......this is all IMO......I'm not trying to change anyone's opninion here, I'm simply stating my own.:D

K271

It's gangsta because all the rappers and bball players have them. Not gangsta as in cheap, but it's the image! The best video now on BET is from this group called 3 Six Mafia - Riding on Spinners!! It's funny, beat is pretty cool but it's just spinners every where.

If you haven't seen them just watch a rap video. It's the trend now which started with guys like Funkmaster Flex, the ball player Latrell Spreewell, and rappers like Baby aka The Birdman. They started putting those things on SUV's a couple years ago and now people everywhere are starting to use them.

Gangster because it's the image. Not gangster as in ghetto. For some reason Black guys like to have the big SUV's and they put those rims on their trucks. They look hot on SUV's. And everytime we go out in NYC, there are so many of those things around. It's an image because rappers and ball players all do it and rappers always give the image of gangster no matter what. Except for that fool Nelly. He's a chump.

wasent it Latrell Spreewell's company that first came out with these things? i read in an article that his company is very successfull amongst celebs for aftermarket car stuff.. his shit aint cheap either.. like JDM for rappers and b-ball players! :D

@ $2000 per wheel, I guess money still can't buy good taste. The rims look like ASS on the car. It does not look good/tyte/pimp/bling/gangsta or whatever, it looks stupid. I can't beleive some old man would go and put 19" spinners on his S-Type, and if it is not an old man, then wow, that's too bad. LOL

I dont understand why some people are considered wannabe gangsters if they ride on some spinners. Personally I'm lookin at getting some for my 4runner. Would I be considered a wannabe gangster even though I dont act like I'm from the ghetto?? If so why.

No you won't be gangsta, you'll be the farthest thing from it. The image is gangsta cause all the rap and bball stars have them on their rides. It's the image, rap has always been gangsta, and guys like Shaq, Spreewell, Lamar Odoms, and Darius Miles have those type of rims. It's just an image.

That video is by 3 Six Mafia... it's a crazy party anthem here in New York!

Umm actually, trustfund bebe, I bought the car right out of university and bought it because I wanted THAT car, and I didn't want to drive a car that the bank owns.

It doesn't matter one bit what you have in your closet becaue mine is just as stacked, the difference is I make it look GOOD whereas YOU buy it because it is expensive. I already know what you are all about by your post to me and it makes me sad to think that you are the prime example where money does NOT buy taste. FWIW, a reply to this would be futile, as your pathetic attempts to personally attack my car and my judgement left me completely unscathed :)

Aren't you supposed to be getting your spinners "mounted" right now? Go! Go! you might miss the coolness!

24 in a 65k car doesn't mean much nowadays. Welcome to society. Also I'm pretty goddamn sure he didn't actually mean you wear a brand like Von Dutch which would enduce you to start listing all your fashionable and pricey assets...
