Out of province purchase questions

hi all

if a car that came from out of province had a recent safety inspection from that province, would it still need an OOP when it got here?

also, does anyone know what the process would be to drive a manitoba vehicle back here? would manitoba registry/insurance give me a 'temp' registration/plate or would it be easier to take my ab plate and registration and let my insurance know?

any help appreciated.

call your insurance co, tell them you'll be buyin a car and need temp insurance, and you can put your plate on it and drive it back. Either way you will need an out of province inspection to register it in Alberta
