resetting command start

I have a 98 chevy PU with a command start CS299 and a two button transmitter.
I disconnected the battery to do some wiring and when I reconnected the CS didn't work.
I'm pretty sure it just needs to be reset.
Any one know how on this model?

1. Open the hood (the parklights will come on for 3 seconds and go out.
2. Press the hood switch down and release (Parklights will come on)
3. Before the lights go out press and release the hoodswitch quickly. (Lights should stay on) If the lights do not stay on past 4 seconds repeat steps 2 and 3.
4. Press Button I long enough to shut off lights. (2 Seconds)
