Wierd stuff

I have 2 10inch Rockford subs (cheap) in my car and recently, it seems whenever i have the tunes goin my subs are goin and then they suddenly get quiet, they are still workin, but not half as loud as they were. That started like 4 weeks ago and has gotten more and more common since then. Usually if adjust the bass or sub output on the deck, it fixes it instantly. I know I have way too much power goin to them in the form of a 1000 watt Kenwood amp. any ideas?:dunno:

assuming around 500 rms right? and that you've alrady checked for loose connections ie ground (damn ground wires) and the remote wire?? they might just be cutting out if you r WAAAY over powering them... but i doubt it (you'd blow them first... check the connections! what model subs and do ya know the max for them?

I dod already check the wiring etc. bt i'll check it agian. I dunno the wattage on the rockfords I bought em used. Everything else is brand new. the 10's were supposed to be a cheap replacement for my 15's until I got another amp to power them. Anyone know where I can get another Kenwood 1000watt amp? (KAC-929) and maybe some 15 inch sub boxes? Or does someone wanna buy these 10's?

12v can get those amps for reasonably cheap. I remember he had a couple of new ones (1000 watt kenwoods) for sale.
