View Full Version : u of c starting soon. still undecided about courses.

hey guys. im having some trouble with my fall courses. right now im registered in Sast 315, tran 303, poli 321 and stat 217 for the fall. my winter sem includes acct 317, stat 217, coms 361 and bsen 395.

The problem i have is that the prof for stat 217 in the winter has slightly higher ratings than the fall prof. so most likely i will be taking it with the guy in the winter. if i do, i would prob only want to take stat and acct as i only need to complete a total of 5 courses (including stat and acct) this year before i apply to haskayne.

so if i do end up taking stat and acct alone in the winter, i have to take 3 options in the fall. ive heard good things about sast 315 (although its at 8am MWF). that leaves tran 303 and poli 321. i dont know if i should stick with these or go with some other ones. only problem is i dont have any others to choose from. so hopefully u guys can help out.

300 levels ive already taken:
goph 375
econ 341
coms 363

ps- coms 361, tran 301, acct 317, bsen 395 are all full in the fall

how can you be in registered in stat217 in both semesters??
and what teachers are they?? you cant base what classes you're going to take solely on your prof, thats what I did and got screwed in math

the system has allowed me to register in both stat 217 courses. this is why i have to option of choosing either lecture. i took stat213 with the winter prof (stallard) so i know he pretty good.

As far as i know you cant get credit for both coms 361 and 363 in haskayne and if your just looking to get an inflated gpa to apply to the school with swap out acct 317 for opma 317. If i was you I would take a bunch of options too since once you start taking the business school classes the bogus options get more and more annoying.

Also, a listed pre-req for ACCT 317 is BSEN 291 which you haven't listed as complete

ive already completed bsen 291. didnt list it cuz its not a 300 level option. in order for me to apply to haskayne i need to complete stat 217, acct 317 and 3 sr options. i cannot take opma 317 cuz a prereq is u have to be in 3rd year haskayne which i do not meet.
