Which car is better to drive 3 years and then sell?

2008 V6 Pathfinder SE plus Premium & Leather packages - MSRP: $48,300

or

2008 V6 4Runner SR5 plus Sport package (no leather) - MSRP: $47,100

personally i'd go for the 4runner. in my experience, it has better resale.

I'd go for the 4Runner. The Limited V6 is a very nice package. Much better package than the Sport imo. I really liked my 4Runner. I'd go for a Toyota product over a Nissan product any day :)

I think you will do a little better with the Toyota. I don't think it's any better than the Nissan, just a bit better resale.

I can't really get Limited 4Runner, cause my management wouldn't lease it for me. They set up a limit. So, I have to choose between 4Runner Sport (no leather) or Pathfinder SE (with leather). I will be buying out this car in 3 years and re-selling it anyway.

So, what's the verdict?

I think the Toyota should have a higher re-sale value at lease end. What if you paid the difference between the Sport and the Limited? That is, if you really wanted the Limited package. Ultimately, your the one who has to drive the vehicle for 3 years though... :dunno:

i love our 4runner, but it is limited so i can't say if the other package is worth it. I love the new pathfinder look, i actually tried to convince my dad to buy one this year. I think i'd buy the 4runner, because like you said, you want to sell it soon.

Does anybody know the website which tells how much new cars cost in any given year, for example in 2004?
