LF: Someone to fix my Carbon Fibre Hood

i recently ordered a hood from a company in hamilton and it came in with a broken corner. they said it wasnt there fault so they wont replace it... so now i have to have it repaired

it looks like a pretty easy fix, and from im told its supposed to be... anybody with experience wiht repairing CF please call me 831-3377 or pm me..

i had the exact same problem!!!
i ordered a hood from a place in ontario and there was a chip in the side!!! so i filed a claim with the shipping company and they denied it, now im talking to the supplier, its rediculuous, gonna get sorted out soon hopefully

i'd be happy to fix it...is it damage to the gel coat or to the actual fabric? The second will be much more difficult to fix.

mine was worse that yours, but its still a piss off, i got mine through JRP but i just got word that i am getting a new hood shipped to me cause of the damage

ya, that can be fixed. Will take fair amount of sanding. Has the whole hood been sanded??? It looks like its got a pretty milky finish to it. Who is this hood made by??? the carbon is wavy and I almost guarantee you some of that damage was there before shipping, you can see it was not properly sanded in that corner in the first place. Where abouts are you located???

it was made by xceleratedconcepts.ca

and i know it wasnt during shipping. the box and supports are in perfect shape.. no rips or holes or anything, call me some time and you can see it.. im in the NW.. the hood is at my moms house in the SE (dover) i pm'd u my number i believe...
