Racecity has also now finally purchased a decent track prep machine so hoping it will be a bit stickier on the launch.


I will finally be running for the first time this season.

I'm running 94 octane just to be on the safe side.

If I get the porsche done, I'm there for sure.
It's been months since my last race.
When I was in the 'hat, I got 13.9, and couldn't shift it at peak.
The car just needs a little more adjustment, and it should be good.
I'm going to be sweating bullets at the tree, been a while.

on the side note, does ur car really like 94 octane?

i find it knocks more with that crap than shell 91. i filled up last night, gonna use alot of gas today to save weight :P

I will have less then half a tank but I don't want it too low as the acceleration makes the needle go really close to empty on a pull from 0-120 :P

I'm thinking mine will only do like a high 14 which is still much better then 16.3 from last year:P

To be honest I have not seen a difference between husky 94, and Esso 91. I have not tried V-Power yet.

I just went for the highest octane I could get in hopes that It will have better knock resistence at the track.

I've never actually held it at WOT past 3rd gear as I'm doing about 130 by then and I don't like tickets. It is also a cop magnet at wot because of the open dumptube :)

The mohawk 94 showed no power loss against VP MS109.
Couldn't add any more timing, anything.
I use it, and everytime I tune it's in the tank.
One day I might do a controlled test against the Shell 91,
I have it on good source that it will burn cleaner.

nice work, i just caught that 14 run right before i left, but it looks like you got the launch down a bit better on that run.

Others were 13.2 @110 and 13.3 @ 108.. And all of these were with a shitty launch. maybe in the 12'as if I can figure that out!

I went to Edmonton. They had their largest turn out for the year. No offence to Calgary, but if that many cars were in Calgary, at the pace they run in Calgary, I think 3 runs tops.

Edmonton just fires them through. It's crazy! In fact, maybe too fast. Sometimes the cars aren't even off the track and you get a green light. :eek:

Those were the best two. I also cut my personal bests for 60 footers. Two 1.5x times, best being 1.576. Too bad the rest of the pass wasn't so hot.

I had trouble driving the car (shifting) all night. Maybe sometime I'll learn how to drive the red beast.

Best I could do was a 2.42x and I know the car can do better as I wasn't even spinning off the launch.

The launch control at 4k was also too low and bogging off the launch on each run :(

I think if I can keep it a bit cooler and launch better it has a mid 14 in her at the same boost level.

I am already tempted to go up to 10 pounds and run 13's at over 100mph but that would be the limit of my block and I want it dyno tuned if I get that close to it's max potential.

That's the way tracks are supposed to be run.. Go to any real track and it's car after car after car.. You have another car doing a burnout when the first set crosses the finish line..

Need to put the ram air back in. The won't let you go more than 120mph if you dont have leather pants, so on the first pass I hammered on the brakes just before the finish line. Didn't think it would slow down that much, then on the second pass realized that I wasn't going to go anywhere near 120mph.

R compounds + launch is tough= 2.3 60ft.

This FD traps higher than my old FD which ran a 13.1 with 1.8 60ft.

With a good 60ft this car will run 12s, but I really need to shift to 4th since I am crosing the line @ over 8000 rpm.
