Is there an easy and safe way to clean the inside of the compressor housing without taking the turbo apart?

Carb Cleaner?
WD-40?

I don't want to wreck anything. I have the turbo off the car anyways. I have never taken one apart before and don't want to wreck anything doing that.

Thanks in advance.

yep, brake kleen man, works awesome....just make sure you let all the crap run out, because the brake kleen will dissolve quickly and leave the dirt in there unless you let it run out.

ok cool. It won't hurt the seals?

Nope, brake kleen is there and gone very fast, no time to soak in anywhere. Ive cleaned many turbos with brake kleen

Or simply take off the 6 bolts that hold the compressor housing on and clean it thoroughly and reinstall.

You have the turbo off already. The compressor housing comes off in like 5 minutes. You're more likely goign to break something trying to clean around the blades, then to take the housing off, and clean it.

My turbo has 8 bolts holding teh housing on, it takes me like 2 minutes to take it off, even if it's still in my car.
