Best Free way to get songs and pictures off my ipod?

I formatted my HD and now need to put all my songs and pictures back on my computer what is the best free software to do that?

Yes XP, I have seen lots of programs that do songs but none that say they do pictures.

you can move stuff to and from your ipod

When you connect your ipod, it opens up the ipod and the folders are there. You can copy the files but they won't be named properly.. might be a pain in the ass but it works.
