My brother just bought a car and it has dog hairs all over the interior, what's a good method to get them out? vacuum?

i think using a snow brush works really well, use the hard brush not the soft ones.

that 3M roll works on thin hairs
but for thick ones if a vaccum can't get it out then I just used my hands LOL:rofl:

If it's really bad, then nothing. I swapped the interior out of my AE86 to get rid of the dog hairs.

dog hair is a PITA trust me. I just did a porshe so bad you could not see the carpet in the trunk. The dog had wrecked it. The owner said they had a person who was going to be riding in it that was alergic so they needed help.
Dog hair removal will take a long time so dont expect it to be done in 20 minutes,
The method I used for getting rid of 100% of the dog hair is as follows
Star by vacuming the area. It wont do much but it helps trust me. Those 5 minutes help
Next i give a qucik misting of an APC. Make sure to test in a small area to make sure there are no issues.
you just want the capret to be damp. You dont want to much wetness oor it wont work as well. So air on the side of cation. You can always add more APC.
Next I vacume again. Some hair will have losened up.
now the fun begins.
I use one of those meguires pet hair brushes. The rubber ones like mentioned earilier. There like 10 or 20 bucks. Well worth it. It will be a life saver.
Ok so take the brush and start in one corner.
In one hand have the vacume in the other the brush.
Make sure to do small areas wi thte brush, pull it no more then 5 inches. You also want to make sure to do loks of small quick stokes. (i hope that makes sense).
Basicly what you are doing is staicly charching everything so the smaller and faster te stokes (minds out of the gutter) the better.
You want to have the vacume in the other hand to vacume up what you have pulled up. Keep the nozel close to the area as it will help suck up the hair so it dosent clog the bursh or worse get back into the carpet.
Do this do the whole car, or area with hair.
Yes it is tedious. I think the suv took about 1.5 hours to do the trunk but it came out perfectly.
If you can get to guys (you and your bro) in there with brushes and vacume it will really cut down on time.
And if on the first try you dont get it all you can always go back over the same spot.
I hope this makes sence and if you use it let us know how it goes
good luck

Rug Docter hand wand attachment works A+ on house dog hairs when doing a good cleaning of bad areas. Won't know about cars till next week.

I'd highly recommend trying a good vacuum and then a good lint rolling before anything else. You'll go through two lint rollers on a bad car but it works well, it just takes a little patience.

yeah meguires makes a nice pet hair brush like this. Works well. one side is for short hair, the other for long. Just used it in short hard strokes and vacuum as well. 3m rollers can also help.
You can find the meguires pet hair brush at the car salon on 32nd
