For the last couple of days I've had issues with reception in my car. I've had the same installation for over a year and never had any issues but the last couple of days I can only get reception 60% of the time. I checked my equipment and everything seems okay. The thing is I get the issues at the exact same places. At the intersection of Sarcee Trail & Jean Laurier, Mcnight Blvd & Deerfoot, etc. Anyone else having issues?

I know they have a repeater downtown, maybe when it gets within the repeater range that signal is bad compared to the sat signal?

just a theory which doesn't help you though.

Their repeaters are down, which means you're operating purely from terrestrial signals right now. No clear view of sky == no signal.

The repeaters are located downtown, but cover ~20-25km radius. So even at the edge of the city, you're picking up the repeater's signal. Not just for downtown. This helps reception when going under bridges on deerfoot, for example.

Now that the repeaters aren't working, you'll notice the audio cut out about 3 seconds after going under a bridge on deerfoot.

BTW - some receivers in the antenna pointing screen, you can see the signal strength of the satellites as well as the repeaters. The repeaters are currently showing 0.

My antenna is in my house so I only get terrestrial on my conductor and I have had no issues, full signal. My car however has been having the same issues with the terrestrial not working. I don't understand it

Good to know so I don't have to waste any more time troubleshooting. Any idea why or when it will be fixed? I kind of need my dose of Howard Stern to start my workdays.

good to know. I've been having the same issues. I thought it was because I moved my antenna in my car.

Thanks for the info, when I first bought my Sirius it wouldn't pick up satellite signals, I had to return it, I thought the same thing was happening again.

it seems to be working much better tonight. I get a much stronger signal.

Forgot to post earlier, went for a drive at lunch today, and 100% repeater signal. It was fixed haha.
