Price drop to 6500FIRM

Hey

I imported this car about a month ago, however I got burnt on the deal. It was suppose to be a "smooth runner in excellent mechanical condition" but I received a car with no compression in 2 chambers of the rear rotor.(the car still runs however it is blowing blue smoke out of the exaust, and is lacking power)

The car is yellow in color with a minor paintchip on the rear bumper,

it has a mazda speed front bumper with frontflush fog lights, AVS rims, hks piping, hks intake, momo steering wheel, blitz boost guage, oil temp, water temp, mounted on the passenger side in the dash, as well as a apexi boost guage on the corner of the dash.

The interior of this car is absolutely mint.

I am asking $8500 Firm for this car. I think this is a pretty fair deal as Most LANDED jdm FD's are going for about 12-15grand and they will eventually require a rebuild anyways.

I wouldn't mind keeping this car and rebuilding it, however I am to tall to fit comfortably in it.

If interested Please email me at [email protected] or call me at 780-904-2280 as my PM thing does not work

If you decide to part, of if the new owner doesn't like that ms front fascia, i'd be happy to make an offer on it.

For the OP, heres a trick you may wanna try, as you may not necissarily have blown apex seals. SOMETIMES, if it sits for a longggg time, the apex seal will "stick" or bind in teh groove. So heres a trick you can try, may work, may not. Take a container of Automatic Tranny Fluid, doesnt matter brand, whatever you want. Take a vacuum hose off, put it in the container, extend the vacuum line if you need to. let it suck up the atf and use your hand on the throttle butterfly to keep it running, its gonna smoke like a motherfucker, but it may unstick the seal. Ive done it once, and it did what it was supposed to, and i ran that motor for 40,000km after that, between me and my friend. He bought it from an importer and it just came with weak to no compression on the back rotor. Ran like ass, but after this treatment, purred like a kitten.

good luck.

All Pm's replied,

Sorry not looking to part yet.

km are 106 000

I did not import from jdmconnection, however I wish I had as they probably would have helped me out

ca18det240sx- Thanks for the tip, Much appreciated, I will give this a try. Is their a chance of damaging the motor further if this does not work?

Thanks

Nope, im guessing the reason why the ATF works so well is its sooo slick, so it lubes the apex seal. rx7 specialties actually covers his parts in ATF as he assembles his engines, so that when hes done, its coming out of the ports. Works very well, believe me, when we did the engine i had, the back part just listening with teh plug out was chuff, chuff, nothing, ran like total ass, shook like crazy. ATF treatment, lots and lots of smoke, i mean do it outside....and tell your neighbors lol, so they dont call the fire department, but yah, after the treatment, engine ran solid for 50,000k before i sold the car.
Its also listed on rx7club.com as atf trick.

let me know what happens, very interested to know.

Cool thanks,

Also was your engine blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust before the treatment?

at Rx7 specialties, about 3000$ for a rebuilt stocker...maybe less, not more tho im pretty sure. That would be including R&R. Call him and find out. I wouldnt normally reccomend him, but he can build a decent engine, and hes pretty much the only one...theres a few locals but i cant say good or bad about their work because ive never seen it?

Lots of support for these vehicles, v8's are most common when leaving the rotory engine. If you wanna keep the wankle type engine a 20b (3 rotor) engine is a great but pricey upgrade.

I wanted to buy this car from japaneseusedcar.com or something, but didn't after there e-mails where so confusing and shady.

^^^ lol, your lucky you didn't, I bought it from Japan Auto Direct and let me tell you, they are very shady. Never buy a car through them.

They told me this car was supposed to be a smooth runner on excellent mechanical condition, and when I received it, I received it in this condition.

When I confronted them on this they pretty much told me to beat it.

So lesson learned, NEVER BUY FROM JAPAN AUTO DIRECT.

^^^

I am 6-3 with an average build, and my legs seem to be the main problem. So I can;t really tell you but im sure it would be cutting it pretty close.

what year is this car? all the paper work with transport canada done?

I'm about 6-3, with and about 235lbs. I have a LHD FD and i can get it and drive it fine, but i found it almost impossible to wedge into a RHD one. I compared the two, and the RHD's with the rear seats seem to have shorter seat rails by about 3 inches, and i think the USDM seat rails are lower profile.

legendboy- All paperwork is done and import fee's etc are paid.

It just needs an engine rebuild and an out of province inspection and its good to go.

Crymson- I agree if the rear seats weren't their I would have no problem.
