Hey guys, I posted in my other thread that I had finally found a car.

Well, her pics are attached.

Partial mod list:

+ Revision III turbo engine
+ Ceramic coated 3" SMIC piping.
+ GReddy TypeR BOV
+ Walboro 255lph fuel pump (not installed yet)
+ Manual boost controller
+ Custom exhaust - 3" DP to dual 2.5" split
+ Tein suspension
+ 1994 slotted brakes
+ GReddy SMIC
+ A/C and cruise both removed
+ T-Tops
+ Stainless steel brake lines
+ Bully kevlar clutch
+ Other stuff I can't remember.

The test drive was a life changing experience. The car handled exactly as it was supposed to, the clutch grabbed hard, and the body was tight. There were no lines or wrinkling to suggest any kind of collision, and the paint job was surprisingly well done for a five-year old job.

The car seemed to accelerate form 0-60 while missing many of the numbers in between. There was no slippage in the clutch, and the wheel felt solid. This car is a drivers car, and I was in control.

Needless to say, after an inspection by my mechanic and some personal flogging, I was ready to hand over the cash and take her home. She's mine, and though I might only get a month and a half this year out of her, she was well worth the wait. Five years I've wanted an MR2, and yesterday I bought one.

Attached are pics :)

Can you spot the imperfection? It's the only one on the car :(

Car was from Virginia. No rust at all (and trust me, I looked).

The price was a $7,500.

London is sort of close to Windsor... 2 hours or so. If you PayPal me some gas money I'll go look at it for you :)

Thanks man :)

I got some things I want to put it in before Sept ends...

+ Turbo timer
+ 94 Tails
+ Reupholster driver/pass seats.

Power wise, I'm going to leave it for now and give it a bit of a "boost" (pardon the pun) in March or so.

so whats the imperfection? is that a scuff on the passenger side front rim or is that just the valve stem?

Thanks man! I wasn't sure if that intake has any kind of functionality, so I ordered one and I'm going to do a comparison to see if I can notice any kind of difference... if no, then the car is staying as is.

Oh I'm lovin' it! This is the car I've always wanted- suspension, engine, profile, and more.

Neither actually. The rim was just dirty in the photograph.

The hood has a bit of a larger gap in the passenger side of the vehicle- upon some testing we confirmed that it was simply a matter of finagling it into place- the MR2 hood doesn't have any bracing, so you have to bend and twist it to get it where you want.

No evidence of any accidents, and Carfax comes up clean (except for an ODO rollback from one of the previous owners...

The Toms side scoops are for na cars.. not functional on turbo cars. So does the car still have the NA fuel pump? Better get that bigger fp in there before its too late.. boost is addictive lol.

No, it's got a tufbo FP. The swap was done with an entire rear clip brought in from Japan- everything, including the axles and all misc. hardware, was swapped from the 94 turbo clip.

I have a 255 walboro that I'll be putting in the car in March as well :)

Also, thanks for the heads up about the intake... I'm going to cancel my order. If it's not functional the car doesn't need it.

PS - how's your Deuce doing? Did you get the front lip repaired?

Oh sweet thats good man, gen 3 engines are wicked. Ya the scoops are purely esthetic, some people like them just for the looks so thats why you see them here and there. As for me, lip and splitter shoud be here in the next week or so.

good luck with the MR2, i loved mine but for me it was time to go a different route. make sure you dont push the boost past 14 PSI unless you havbe some bigger injectors and stuff or youll definitely get detonation.

Thanks for the heads up- I plan on leaving the boost at 13 psi (GenIII stock) for now. More boost will come in a year or so, along with injectors, FP, and a nice tune.

You should double check that. Rear clips dont come with the gas tank. at least none ive seen.

The owner put in a turbo FP 5 years ago, and then he bought (but never installed) a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump that I'm putting in.

Those tail pipes look like the NA exhaust. The Turbo pipes flange out more. Nice car tho. Love the 94 spoiler. Is this an NA to Turbo conversion? I don't see the power antenna sticking out. Nice find!

The previous owner says that he did a custom exhaust on it, but the more I inspect it the less confident I feel about that. I plan on having Speedtech make me a new one anyway :)

Yea, it's a NA-T conversion. He did a pretty good job of it, though I'm noticing a few things here or there. For the price I definitely can't complain.

Oh, and the antenna was converted to a windshield antenna. I love the look of the 94 wing- it's awesome. I'm just hunting for some new rims now.
