Love the car minus the front plate...
It's kind of random and sticks out.

this is gonna sound VERY Honda-Techish.

But lose the plate, and add some lips, and give it a drop haha...

But nonetheless great starting point on the pictures. What advice I can offer you is...try and take pics from different heights versus just more or less of an eye level. It makes shots very boring.

here are a few examples...

I agree with EK

I don't know much about taking pictures with cams but I always always taught with a vid cam to take at different angles to make it interesting, something you don't normally see in day-to-day life (diff angles)

Also try to follow the rule of thirds. Break it vertically and horizontally into thirds and place everything on the lines. This will usually end up in big empty spaces, or very little empty space, but I usually find it aesthetically appealing myself... Which is who I'm trying to please.

I think it looks beter with my little ghetto homemade plate it gives it a drop IMO
I would like to get a lip but I'm to cheap!:banghead:
I'm just a high school student

I've got the same camera and i've had to take a lot of pictures on different settings to get what i wanted out of it. All in all a great camera if you got the time to adjust.

BTW pics look pretty decent, but i'd look for some better angles and locations. And play around with the apature a bit.

you want to take a picture from an angle that you would not normally see something at, thats the key.

im pretty sure you car isnt a ek9.
IMO by the tails and headlights, and front bumper, it would be a 1996-1998, and i dont think they made civic type R's(ek9s) in 96-98. it would be a Ek4. (Honda guys correct me if im wrong, because ive always been curious if they did make type Rs in the 1st gen of eks)

yah try some diff angles like everyone says, i have a picture where its right on the ground, and pointing @ the car it zoomed on the rocks to make a cool picture.

They Do have civic Type R in 97 Civic Hatch...and 98 as well and they are EK9, EK4 is a Sir...
ofcause 99-00 had CTR too
CTR(EK9) never get into a left hand drive car so non of the civic hatch in canada or US are real EK9 civic type R
only can be EJ6 want to be EK9...

Off topic but LMFAO at the random arrow on the back of the "spooned" civic.

Yeah like AMA wouldn't be able to locate a HUGE reddish tow hook sticking out the back of a yellow civic.

here is some photo advice. try not to have the same colour in your backround as the object your shooting it takes away from it

my plate is not fake it was custom made

BUT

the intake is 20 bucks, probably makes you lose rather than gain, is it mandrel bent?

according to everyone here though, you should lose the plate because it's not JDM and its "custom made"

if you can't rock the spoon, well thats cool. rock the rota instead lol

^ Cup holders to rest your drink on as you're pushing the car when it breaks down?

heh.. old ford joke..

And in terms of tips? Well, angle shots are a love/hate thing, I find if you angle the shot so it's level with something else that's actually angled as well (such as a ramp) or a little off level, it looks good - extreme angles look silly, to me anyways.

I'd suggest adjusting the "curves" of some of your photo's in photoshop if you have it, and anything that looks a little washed out colour wise tends to look better with some contrast adjustment..
