No. You hit the 2nd fret, strum the note, then use another finger to hammer on to the 3rd fret and you don't pick the note again. Slides are notated as "/" usually, hammers "h" and pull offs "p"

Ok I thought so. I'll hafta wait for that then I guess my fingers are close to bleeding now. I heard if I put it in alcohol it will tuffin up faster. Is that true?

I don't know. I earned my callouses through hours and hours of practice over the last ten years :D These fingers are invincible now!

yeah supposedly alcohol will dry out the skin so calluses build faster...but it's all about the practice

Ok lets see if I have this correct.

4 fret on D pick, then pick 3rd fret on B while sliding from 4th fret to 5th pick. Then 2nd fret on G pick, 3rd fret on b and then now what. How do I pick 3rd fret B and 4th fret D at the same time? Sorry I can't read this thing worth crap.

if thats written correctly, i wouldn't use a pick, use your thumb and index or middle finger to pick both at the same time :dunno:

keep ur finger on the 2nd fret strum it then with another finger "hammer on" the 3rd fret without strumming it.. u should b able to press onto the 3rd fret strongly enough so that it seems like u strummed it without really strumming it

that's the problem with learning from tablature, it gives an incomplete picture of the song you're trying to learn...i'm assuming this is a song you know/want to learn, my advice is to play it along with the cd/mp3 whatever so that you can understand the timing and feel of the song/riff

but to answer your question, use your pick (or thumb) to pluck the lower string, and use a free finger to pluck that b-string mariachi/classical style

Ya definitely finger picking... I always found picks to be overrated... then again I got in a nasty habit of skinning my right middle finger all the time by playing metal without a pick... hmmm...
