I think the 8gb and 16gb are just the ipod touch - they didn't introduce a new iphone yet did they, just dropped the price of the current 8gb one?

I think the drop has to do with the rest of the market dropping as well. But then again, I don't know too much. I just figure a big company like Apple is going to be the king for the next few years, and releases like the iTouch prove that.

I almost bought a new macbook to get the nano but didnt. I think i will have to sell ym 5.5g to my sister and get the 80gb classic, that 160 is quite the deal though, and i am glad my shuffle is not a pastel color.

yeah the red nano edition is pretty cool. Just pre-ordered my touch, pretty cool you get free laser engraving.

I have a 30 gb video going up for sale in marketplace soon if anyone wants it. It was put into case right when purchased so the back has a very clean look and the front has a plastic protective sheild on to prevent stratching.

I'm going to hold off on the iTouch for a little while (so broke right now) but it really does look awesome. I went to the Apple store last night with my sister so she could get a rebate on the iPhone she bought on Sunday. I was soooo tempted to get one! Staying strong and waiting till the next release... The wifi on it is definitely the coolest thing to me. Now that airlines are starting to look into offering wifi on flights (I think I heard Lufthansa is offering it next year along with a few other airlines) you could surf the net during a flight without needing to take your whole computer!

yeah i knew that it was the 28th, but topher91 mentioned that someone on the radio from calgary got one from one of the dealers already so i'm checking around, westworld computers said they will be getting it next week in stock. what other mac dealers are there in calgary??

I read off Apple's website the authorized sellers are Staples, London Drugs, The Source and a bunch of smaller shops I can't remember.

EDIT:

OK Futureshop and Bestbuy are also authorized, but I was at futureshop yesterday and they didn't have em.

Wal-Mart, Soundsarround, Visions, Costco, TLD Computers are also authorized as listed by Apple.ca

Because they went with flash memory to make it thin. If they went with a hdd like the classic ipods they could have made it hold more but at the same time it would be thicker. Personally I think they should have went with the hdd + touch.

yah or very close, i checked the 30gb video against the 80gb classic, same size so i assume 80gb video is the same size as hte 160gb classic.

the same day it was announced on this board, it's engraved and everything, but i heard it's been out for a few days already in teh states. Its pretty sweet, i just need a case for it, i've search some online, hopefully stores will carry them soon.

the colour is great in my opinion, i think the dark screen is only certain iPod's, it has been rectified from what i've read though.

Ya it didn't effect every single Ipod touch. just some units apparently.


I checked to see via Apple.ca if my Ipod was shipped... it still says it hasn't shipped....

Hopefully they are just slow to update that and its 1/2 way here! :D
