Wow, the new 6 looks super-sweet.

phuck that looks good in some angles though,

but its mazda..

atlease mazda is taking a step forward unlike other manufacturers, some of their new style is quote disappointing.

It has alot of Nissan in the front & Pontiac in the rear. I'm getting tired of the Mazda corporate beak but IMO it looks better than the Accord, Camry, Maxima. I like the interior design also. Unfortunately it will most likely end up being a POS like the current Mazda 6 which is not a recommended buy by consumer reports due to many problems with the V6 versions. Mazda has now been relegated to 3rd tier Japanese vehicles with Suzuki.

wonder how it handles.. The back reminds me on a gran prix, but overall i like it better than the current gen maz6..I'd probably prefer the new accord coupe over this though.

Wagon is gorgeous.

If I ever get out of my Maxima lease I need to get a wagon or a truck. This beats a truck for sure.

My wife has an Aerio. I love that thing. Stronger engine would make it perfect. Great city runabout and you can pack lots of stuff in it. Like a Honda Fit (which was not out when we got the Aerio).

I have a 02 aerio and a 06 mx5. both are amazing cars for its purpose and very reliable. :D plus unqiue and I don't see much around the road.

Just because your protege was a piece of junk doesn't mean Mazda's in general are full of shit.

All cars are more reliable that even 10 years ago but the stats JDpower, consumer reports prove that Mazda and Suzuki's have more issues than most. This does not mean that your Mazda or your girlfroend's Mazda/Suzuki will be unreliable, it means that statistically speaking you have a chance at having more issues than people driving other brands. Hell go check the thread about the RX8 in beyond. It's unheard of these days to see those types of issues with a new car.

I owned a Suzuki Swift GTi in the early 90's and I can confirm that it was a POS but it doesn't mean an Areo won't be reliable.

It looks way better than the new WRX.

Mazda keeps putting out nicer looking vehicles lately, meanwhile Subaru's styling goes further in the tank.

It's safe "new*" styling but I'm not impressed --- way less originality than the old Mazda6 which impressed me. The old Mazda6 was much more original. This looks like they were trying to copy the attractive features of a bunch of manufacturers: Acura (EL, TL, RSX), Lexus, Vauxhall.

In all fairness the Mazda didn't just become lame. The lameness started in 2002 when Mazda said, "Hmm, 'Altezza' is such a respected and reknowned name. For our new car we let's remove the letter 'L' and the change the first z to a 'N.' Maybe we can subliminaly convince people the Atenza has the same standing as the Altezza!"

Lexus Altezza to Mazda Atenza, plus they put 'Altezza-inspired' tail-lights. How obvious and pathetic is that?

Agreed the back end looks pretty lame like new Evo meets Mazda3. And this new grill is such a ripoff of the Acura 1.7EL down to the chrome trim on the lower portion.

I'd sooner get the new Altima or new Accord.

According to Car and Driver, this is an Euro only model. The North American (uglier) version could be based on different platform because North American want their cars bigger to fit their over-weight bodies. Why am I not surprised that we always get the uglier sibling?

If it's priced as the current 6, I'd get it. My only complaint is that handle bar thing on the passenger door. Other than that, it's a good looking car.

Looks good, but mazda will undoubtably shit the bed somehow.

Just wait, thier entire '08 line up from hatchback to crossover they will all have the same exact front end look.

Boo :thumbsdow the door panels are too big and flat for someone to do Paintless dent repair on and make smooth.

Looks nice and very very smooth (streamline like a birdie), just don't understand how the instructment cluster "half moon" dash goes though. (extend outwards too much, it's just so BIG and so round trying to out-round the gauges, kinda look like one of those rap guy's girlfriends...)

Looks good, but I wouldn't say "stunning". Looks above average for a Japanese car. "Stunning" is a word I'd reserve for the Jaguar XF, or the Aston Martin DBS.
