I have a 97 honda civic EX and i only get on average around 320-340km for a full tank. With the place of gas it take about $35 to full but i have to fill it ever 4-5 days something even less if i had to drive alot or a far distance.

wondering what i can check. cuz i did get 450km out of it this summer but haven't been that high since then and that was in july.

i've seen that other people have had this problem but they are in winter and this is summer still and i want to figure this out before winter comes.

Spark Plugs, Wires, New Air Filter, Keep an eye on the tire pressure.

Pretty much everything i am getting done next week before the winter hits.

ya i got a new air filter before i left to bc in july.
but i'll check those to and i have to get new tires and an oil change so that will probably help.

There has to be something really wrong with your car, I get over 550km per tank with the same car, even more on the highway.

Not sure if cap and rotor can make a difference as well, maybe timing is off a little as well?

i get over 700km's in an svt focus, but tha'ts all highway driving. during city driving, i get around 550 km's as well. but it costs me like 50 each time to fill up, mind you, i only fill using 94 oct at husky gas stations. but there is definitely something wrong with your car. have you changed fuel filter lately, tire pressure plays a major role as the above person stated. so many things, just check one thing at a time.

i get about 320km tops lately... but thats probably because disco potato, injectors, pump, 3 inch pipe, 18 inch rims, 92 oct...

Why is it whenever someone posts a "bad mileage" thread, everyone who doesn't own the same car as them insists on posting their gas mileage?

to the OP, FULL tune up, plugs, cap/rotor, wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil change/filter. If your still getting bad mileage, you've got a bad sensor and probably running WAY to rich (a good clue to this is have a friend follow you, and report if you've got black smoke out your exhaust when you accelerate)

In an EG civic I get 350km's a tank... Not sure why either. Maybe it's your driving style?

 maybe you should stop vtec-ing, you should be getting to 500 if not close to it on a b16.

I'm fairly certain it's not just my driving style (I could be wrong, LOL) But I have a spoon ecu tune burned onto a chip from richardchan2002. Before I swapped the ECU, I was getting 450/tank. I'm getting it tuned in a few weeks when my header arrives, I'm hoping my mileage will get a little better =)
