-needs deck(current one is stolen)
-door jams nor trunk etc was painted when new paint job was put on

I wouldn't pay $12K for that man- you're going to have to put the turbo on and do a bit of TLC it looks like. I wouild pay maybe $7K for that car supposing everything else was GREAT.

12k is a lot for a car that needs so much shit....

Its a project thats for sure. the fact that it uses oil is more than likely the turbo, hopefully, it sucks it has rust, 2nd gen mr2s should have rust unless they were abused. Youll need at least 8K to get that car up to 100 percent, depends on what youre looking for in a car.

bad things bout the gold one is that it was a NA converted to Turbo, alot less power, and alot more kms on the new motor

am i just too picky:confused:

lol yeah it does look a lot like yours

that gold one is niceeee. i like the flush mount conversion kinda cute. the other ones exterior looks nice as well just sounds like it needs alot of work.

its got an upgraded ct-26, which is more power. i think its definitely worth the price.

NA-T conversions, if done right, are pretty good :D

My MR2 was 1991 NA converted to turbo. The previous owned swapped in the entire clip from a 1994 JDM car- GenIII engine, 1996 tranny w/LSD, axles, brakes, fuel pump, etc.

If the swap was done correctly and attention was paid to the details there's nothing wrong with that :D

EDIT: It's got the GenII 225 HP motor plus what seems to be a few mods. It sounds like it could be right at 225WHP or more, which is by no means slow.

i dont think 12 k is THAT bad. but I dont think it needs 8k in work. and I definately dont think he would ever sell for 7.

If LHD is important to you. (sounds like it is) you'll have to pay a bit more to play. If you want to save money go jdm

:guns: and he kills it. haha

Just pointing out the obvious but compression check that thing. Oil could be some engine issues going on. If he's got the new turbo and he suspects the oil is the turbo, why wouldn't he fix it and sell the car? Easy fix to sell for higher price.

Also how does one ruin one tire without the other on their car? No LSD burn outs maybe? :dunno:

Rust bubbles under new-ish paint = more trouble underneath. Sounds like a slap on paint job to not have the doors jams painted. You spend lots of $ on the engine and performance and have a slap on paint job?

Just trying to point some thing out to look into before buying. If its a decent engine, etc. I'd say its worth it.

The orange one is located in Windsor I think

Left Hand Drive is important to me, unless i finally give up and get a JDM

To CLEM24, the car is nice, but i would like something that has more modifications done to it

edited: also forgot

272 cams are going to be pretty harsh for a daily driver. Especially in Calgary. My guess is that spec stage 3 is on it's way out, Mine wouldn't hold 300hp. All that "custom" stuff could be great if this guy is Bob Norwood or could be complete crap as the guy was trying to ghetto stuff together. What tranny is this mated up to? If it is the one out of the NA then it probably doesn't have a diff, won't last long at those power levels and will eat axles.

Really the bottom line comes down to how well do you trust that this guy knows what he is doing?

he got all the work done at canspeed when he rebuilt it,so I assumed everything was good to go since so many parts are new and tuned

It's a chance that you take when you buy a modified car. Good luck either way :)
