Well due to unforseen circumstances, I will be unable to get the 04/05 STi, and was instead looking into a 98-01 RS and was wondering if anyone had some tips/suggestions on where to look for some of these, what to look for, price range, etc.

I found a few on autotrader, specifically one thats black on black , 5spd, but no km's posted, and it's going for around 9k. I would prefer to find one local as I would have to sell my current car, and don't really know how long I could last without a vehicle. I will obviously have to come up with the difference =)

I hope you aren't looking for an RS in order to Turbo it. Big waste of time. Better off getting an 02 WRX.

They will both have transmission issues (weaksauce), but at least with the WRX, you don't need a standalone when running more boost.

No, just plan on keeping it NA. I haven't quite looked into the specs, but I tend to only lightly mod my cars.
