Oversalted burger leads to charges

Sun Sep 9, 2:02 PM ET

UNION CITY, Ga. - A McDonald's employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer's burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick.

Kendra Bull was arrested Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail.

Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who "tried to thump the salt off."

On her break, she ate a burger made with the salty meat. "It didn't make me sick," Bull told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

But then Police Officer Wendell Adams got a burger made with the oversalted meat, and he returned a short time later and told the manager it made him sick.

Bull admitted spilling salt on the meat, and Adams took her outside and questioned her, she said.

"If it was too salty, why did (Adams) not take one bite and throw it away?" said Bull, who has worked at the restaurant for five months. She said she didn't know a police officer got one of the salty burgers because she couldn't see the drive-through window from her work area.

Police said samples of the burger were sent to the state crime lab for tests.

City public information officer George Louth said Bull was charged because she served the burger "without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it."

Who the hell has a camera running in their car?
Still, I'm glad he was put on "unpaid leave"

And what the hell is that clicking sound?

That kid is a smartass, but with the camera setup i think he'd be happy to catch incidents like that on camera.

yeah not gonna lie first one he's lucky to have had the video camera, but seriously its just a standard question for any cops to ask at a check point "where you going tonight?" :dunno: I dont see the problem with that at all

And i dont see a problem with telling the officer politely "i do not care to discuss where im going with you". It is absolutely none of their business. The cop should have ask after that, have you had anything to drink tnite? "No" ok then you can go. Some cops are taking their authority wayyy to far these days, time to put a stop to it, and as far as im concerned this kid is helping to stop it.

The clicking is his radar detector. Im assuming that the cameras are there to maybe roll while he isnt in the car because he has a crazy system in it or something....catch video of the criminals. Also, maybe hes had a few run-ins that didnt end up on tape and he decided to play it safe next time.
