I drove my Buddy's MR2 tonight. I was really impressed with the handling and braking. The engine had alot more torque than I was expecting. I am not sure of the year, but it is a 2.2L DOHC naturally aspirated motor.

Overall I give the car a

Really, really fun car to drive.

Woohooo for drunk posting!:nut:

Edit: I think it is a 1994

No, it was earlier that day that I drove it. No drinking and driving here. :)

Agreed, to feel some real power you must try a 3SGTE equipped MR2. Especially one with the boost turned up. NA ones are adequate but I must admit the 5SFE engine is on the weak side. Good for autocrossing though because of its more linear power delivery.

Yeah, I wasn't really marvelling at the power, it's was more like I was expecting a Honda-like torque curve, but it had some grunt right off the line.

The car felt really balanced. It felt like a go cart. :) (In the good way)

I would like to drive a turbo, but there aren't any around here.

Hey Redline_mr2, wanna take a vacation to Gulf Shores? :)
