Description :
The time has come to sell the Turbo 'Fly :( . I have owned this car for the last 2 years, having put 45,000kms on it. It has had the utmost care taken with it, having many people compliment the shape it is in with the factory paint! Tranny fluid was changed out quickly for GM syncromesh, and the car has always had 10w30 Mobil 1 ran in it (changed every 5K or less). I have been tweaking it into the ultimate version of a F/SS car (canadian classification) for autoslalom. It is by far one of the best handling cars I have ever driven. I recently attended a Corvette autoslalom meet, and proceeded to keep up with some relatively stock C4's. Not too shabby considering they are both from the same era, and once was considered a rival for many exotics! Recently added on was a Turbo XS boost controller, so the car is running 12psi on 91 octane with stock ignition timing.
Modifications include:
2" exhaust system
Aurora 8.5mm Spark Plug Wires
K&N Air Filter
OCC Racing Underdrive pulley
18mm rear swaybar
BMR Strut Bars
Coilovers
Front cross drilled/slotted rotors + ceramic pads
Autometer Boost Gauge
Cyberdyne A/F Ratio Gauge
Recently done maintainence:
new clutch
waterpump
There are only a few problems I can think of with regards to selling the car:
1) The car DOES have rebuilt status. It was in a very slow front end collision from the previous owner, but since parts at the time were unattainable from the aftermarket to replace the front bumper/foglights it was deemed a writeoff. The owner took it upon himself to fix the car (not that hard). Nothing is bent, the car tracks beautifully straight, the damage was mainly cosmetic.
2) The chassis is pretty clean for one of these cars. The exception is in the front right and left corners directly behind the front wheels (the original hoist/jacking positions). They have some small holes here and there.
