I have around $19,000 and I am wondering what kind of car I should get. Should I get a New or used one? I want at least a 2000 model. It needs to have decent power and speed. Not a real fan of honda's. I drove some and they just seem like they dont have the power. Anyway give me some recommendations.

Thanks

I think there might have been an ITR on here for around 19k ...but it was a while ago. You could also prolly get a 1.6 EL

also cavaliers are pretty cheap

I think an older Solara V6 would be slightly more than $19k, but that's a very nice daily driver.

get a gey old stange v6 if your into v-6's. There really isnt much that i can think of in terms of cool cars with a v6 in your price range, let alone a 2000 model. but best of luck in your search.

PS- you really should give a 4 cyl a test drive/ try, if nothing else than to say been there done that and not interested.

Go to canadatrader.com, choose car, leave make/model blank and select 2000-2004 for year range, and 17000-20000 for price range. Best way to get a good list

Mostly J-bodies and Grand Ams. I dunno about Tiburons though, they arent a very good deal. Lots of VWs too. V6 Mustang maybe?

Is this a V6? Damn people, he said he wants to stay with a V6. I can recommend a Grand Prix V6, or a Grand Am V6, or a Monte Carlo V6.

How about a Mustang GT?

Go for a 6 speed Type 2 Legend Coupe...... 230 hp stock, fully loaded (even some gadgets that the newer acuras dont even come with ;) ), timeless styling, and great resale value. Not that I'm biased or anything.... ;)

Or a 95 and up maxima would be sweet.....

Or an SC 400 Lexus.... V8...hmmmm......

Ha! good luck with that one! Your best bet I think is to get like A late 90's car and fix the shit out of it. So for example you get 1996 240 SX for 10g's, spend another 8g''s on engine swap, and a couple mods. Take the remaining $1000 and give it to me for the great advice i have given you. Since you are already looking away from a Honda, you are lookin in the right direction hehe. A I'm sure you could get a nice early-mid 90's BMW for that price too. Just a thought.

some of those bimmers are overated, how bout a newer 300zx thats on your price range plus its a v6! 90-96 tho so mabye a bit older , you can always got wiht a grand prix gtp, v6 supercharged and with a pulley upgrade and some simple mods you got a faast car that looks pretty good!! imo id go with the 240sx!!!!:D :burnout:

But I think you should buy a used 1991 stealth Twin turbo. Look in the "for sale" forum...:bigpimp:

Guy look into a 97+ Mustang... Nothing wrong with going under a year 2000 car... still good... You dont like hondas so any 4 cyl car is out.... Try looking in auctions, they have awesome deals and bank repos there...

What about a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. It would be righ tin your price range and 165hp. It makes almost as much power and torque as a lot of older V-6 cars. Plus it would be amazingly fun to drive.

Do you'll think a Lincoln LS with a V6 has enough power to really pull its self around and get good gas mileage. I looked at one today and it look pretty good, but since its sunday i can not test drive it. It is priced at $15,400

The Ford probe and Mazda Mx6 have V6 power, and they aren't old guy cars either...Lots of 97s (last year of production) out there in great shape.

Just thought I'd push my own personal favorite since everyone else is :)
