View Full Version : 2 ohm amp with a 4 ohm sub.. bad??
when i bridge my amp it does 600 Watts x 1 Power Output at 2 Ohms, the sub i might get is 4 ohm rated.. does sound quality go down the tubes? is there any real difference to a basic system?

no just hook it up.... it also dependin on wat ur output on the sub is too.... if its 600w it will be fine

thanks for the info .. btw, the sub is rated for 800w max .. so hopefully it's ok.

I had an 800w sub, bridged to a 600x1 amp, worked perfectly fine. ;)
if you hook a 4ohm load onto a device rated for 600W @ 2ohms, the sub will get half that, 300W.
sound quality wont change
