Hey all... just wondering if anyone knew of any reliability issues or recalls with the 2006 BMW M5. Maybe somebody on here owns one.

Thanks.

hmm check out www.automotive.com I think they have a pretty good list of recalls for most models.

another good place to look is http://www.carsurvey.org/ . Just go over to BMW and pick the M5. Unlike most other sites, these are real people with real problems.

OMFG I always wondered who owned that one ^

I see it parked infront of the yardhouse on 17th ave sometimes (unless there is another interlagos blue m5 with black rims in calgary)

They're like my favorite cars ever (notice the avatar)
The old man has a e34, and is picking up his new e39 next week.

I hope to be able to buy an e39 in the spring.

What's your dad selling his for? (price and reason?)

garage that beast for the winter!

if he can afford an m5, he can afford an suv or something for the winter too, right?

or just do what my dad does with his m5s, get some blizzaks!

I love those cars so much because they're so sleeper, nobody really knows what they are (aside from enthusiasts), so you shock a lot of people when you unleash that big v-10.

What does he do for a living?
Can I get a ride around the block? :burnout:

Nice cars! I know of a 05 and 06 each well kept, and my friend is very preticular on how he keeps his cars.

I don't understand why that would be any harder to drive in the winter than a different RWD car with some winter rims and tires?

its not, its just an expensive car to be driving around with so much gravel!
the traction control system is probly one of the most advanced out there.

That, I understand completely. It's other drivers and gravel that worry me in the winter and that's about it.
